demandi    "James Bond" survey    James Bond    Daniel Craig    comments

zurück zur FrageComments: Would you like to add anything else about Daniel Craig?

I was skeptical at first, but willing to give the guy a shot. The trailers and TV spots have done much to encourage my enthusiasm. He looks comfortable in the part and he moves quite well; very suave.
Good actor, good looks, very glad Pierce Brosnan was fired.
A brilliant actor, a bloody handsom man and a great Bond - what else is there to say?
Craig is proving to be the single best thing that has happened to James Bond since the Aston Martin. His characterization is the absolute closest to Fleming's protagonist, which is the real standard by which the interpretations of Bond should be set. And Craig is an absolutely fantastic actor.
What I love about Craig is that he seems some incredible cross between Sean Connery and Steve McQueen. You can't get any cooler than that! I came to this conclusion on my own but as it turns out, I was far from the first one to make the comparison.
I'm looking forward to Casino Royale very much and I believe he will do a great job as 007 - luckily there is not long to wait now until I find out whether my belief was right!
back to ian flemmings bond finally....
Looks like he will be one of the best, right up there with connery, can't wait for casino royale!
DC looks good, especially his seriousness about the role, from the clips and trailers. I hope he is accepted by fans, I feel sorry for him because of all the critism he has recieved. I hope DC becombes the Best Bond of them all.
Wait and see.
I don't think he looks the part, but I'll wait until I see Casino Royale before passing judgement on him.
Reserve my judgement until I see the film..
I think he'll make a good James Bond. We'll see when the film opens on Friday here in D.C.
I always like to wait and see how an actor will do and wait till the film is out before I judge his preformance. He has done some good work such as Our Friends In the North and action films, so think he can make a good Bond. Don't mind that he is not dark haired, think he will bring a new audience to the Bond films - Good luck to him.
When first announced thought it was all wrong but since seeing the film turned out to be fantastic.
HE IS THE NEWFACE OF BOND
I wasn't sure about him until I saw the trailer. Then I felt better about him in the role. Now that I've seen him in the full movie I think he is an excellent actor to play Bond.
Daniel Craig is Amazing!!! Also Madds mickelsen and Eva Green are to!!!
He was the right choice for this change in Bond's character. He had more emotion, but was emotionless when he needed to be.
Those trunks!! Nuf said
He's my favourite British actor who will make Bond his own.
Good actor, so long as he understands Bond, I won't have a problem.
Yum-my!
Very believable
I had my doubts but he is Bond for the new era
He is morelike Timmothy Dalton than any of the other bonds. He porays Bond like he was in the novels which a lot of fans like. I don't know if I will like him or not, though him being a blond bond doesn't make any difference to me
He showed a lot of people his wide range of acting abilities. Very well done.
Craig was excellent, far more than I would have ever expected. He had no weak moments, which was remarkable for his 1st outing. He was ruthless, physically impressive, and showed the cool and swagger that had been missing since Connery.
As I said before, he adds a realism to the character of Bond.
I was completely unsure of him at his grand unveiling, but now, completely sold.
As good as Connery.
Daniel Craig has balls! He's Jack Bauer and Solid Snake added with the charm of Lazenby, the Grittiness of Dalton and the Humor wit of Moore. He's the next-generation 007!
He's brilliant in Layer Cake, so I'm looking forward to seeing him in Casino Royale.
While his hair color and blue eyes may make him seem like an unwise choice, these factors had nothing to do with his acting ability and understanding of the character. He did an outstanding job.
He doesn't look like what I would picture Bond to be. However, he has a quality about him that is lethal. Though a little more of Connery's swagger would be appreciated.
James Bond is supposed to be ELEGANT, isn't he?
With the right scripts in upcoming movies, he could be as good (or dare I say better...) than Connery.
Tough looking and is the closest to Flemings creation, looks very much the cold blooded assasin an agent needs to be . Brought back the seriousness to the role.
Great blonde Bond!!
He is very good looking
The reviews have been good but my initial reaction was that he could hardly have been more wrong for the part.
Piercing blue eyes make him look a very cool character
takes bond back to his no nonense i'll kill you if you get my way days.
A bit of rough and ready?
comes extremely close second to Sean Connory- I was pleasantly surprised
needs support of good bond girl
Yes. He's gorgeous!
He has piercing blue eyes and a manly physique. and he's an excellent actor
if he keeps up like this , he could be the best boond ever
He was amazing as Bond
brings a new dimension to Bond not seen since Connery
Let him show us, what he can add to the role of James Bond.
Although unsure of a blond Bond, didn't realy notice, looking forward to Bond 22
I think they could have choosen a better looking bond
He just doesn't look like Bond to me!
very convincing as a BOND
He's gorgeous and is a close contender for the Bond crown!
i eas sceptical at first but after seeing the film now four times i think he is a good choice and future Daniel Craig Bond films should be excellent
Blondes do not make good James Bond's!
I haven't seen the film yet
no one can replace sean
I think he should be given a fair chance has he has worked had to shape up for this role.
"he seems a different which maybe thats what people need after
the other bonds I think also alot of people do like him too
it will give others new ideas of different approach given"
What a surprise, might even out do Sean as the best Bond
Haven't seen the movie, but physical features wise, Craig is acceptable.
Seems to lack the personality of Connery and Brosnan but may improve.
Plays a good James Bond.
all action hero
Totally gorgeous and rougher than the other Bonds.
He is looking good hope he stays in the role for a few more films
Hope he stays in the role for a few more movies!
He is a bit craggy looking
a close second to sean connery, best bond in years
leave james bond to hunks
sexy
wasnt sure at first but was pleased when i saw film
mmm he's nice too
Got a lot of undeserved flak before the film. After watching Casino Royale, I was pleased that he chose to take the role.
he is lush
The best Bond ever!!!
Bond returning to his roots, really good to see him relying on his wits.
He's amazing as Bond
Clive Owen would have been a better choice
I wasn't sure at first about having a 'blond' bond, but he fits the role perfectly. Very rugged and sexy.
superb performance but a little hard to get used to
bit rough though
He looks very suitable for the role so I hope the films he does are good.
He's the nearest to Sean Connery
I think he has really given depth to the character - Bond after all was not just a super smooth, stylish playboy, he was a ruthless killer and Craig brings out that cruel streak perfectly.
he's a good mean and moody bond
Superb in all areas, maybe with a few more films he could even be better than Connery?
hes fit
Surprised ne in how he managed to relax into the role and avoid his previously wooden style.
did well in a good film - but he is no james bond
I haven't seen the film yet, but my daughter has seen it 4 times, twice on the same day. Must say something!
he's just not right
The right man, for the right job, at the right time
swimming trunks
Better actor than ppl give him cred for
GOOD
ive seen the film its got to be the best story line for a bond film ive ever watched
He carries the part off well.
HAVEN'T SEEN THE FILM YET
I haven't seen Casino Royale yet.
HE DOESNT LOOK THE PART, BUT IF IT WASNT A BOND FILM IT WOULD BE OK
I didn't think he would make a good bond but he does !
He was excellent in Casino Royale but due to the nature of the script wasn't really the Bond of the books; the next film will be very interesting.
A great start for a newcomer, but Bond needs tighter pacing next time.
He is brilliant in the new film
I was surprised how good he was. Piers Brosnan was too smooth, as were Lazenby and Moore; only Timothy Dalton, Sean Connery and Daniel Craig have that edge that convinces you they could be the borderline psychopath from Ian fleming's books, and Connery's accent grates.
No charisma as a bond
have not seen the film yet
a lot better than i expected
Excellent Actor. Stamped his style on th role
He is well cast for Casino Royale. Edgier, grittier but then in this film he is just at the start of his carreer with much refinement to develop.
Good to see Bond is back to bing a rugged man again!
A brave casting decision but one which seems to have worked out well and secured the series' future for a long time to come
A real person without all the frills.
casino royale is fab he did a great job
not as witty or gentlemanlike as previous bonds
Probably the best since Sean Connery
As I mentioned previously Daniel Craig is the best Bond. He is not out and out handsome, but he certainly has star quality and sex appeal!
Very good looking!
He is awesome
He is amazing perfect for the part I hope he'll continue to be case again and again he reminded me of sean conner. He played the role so well.
Not bad as the first blond james bond
He is a superb actor and was excellent in Casino Royale.
I haven't seen the film but liked him in the other things he's done and the trailer seem good
Daniel Craig is the best James Bond since Sir Sean Connery.
He's a fantastic Action Hero which is what Bond needed to bring him up to date.
He is fabulous! He couldn't have been a better choice for the new james bond
Doesn't look like a Bond'
WATCHED THE FILM. DANIEL WAS FANTASTIC
he is lovely, perfect for the role
He appears much more rugged
nice ttrunks
no thank you
Perfect casting apart from his changing hair colour in the film
not seen latest film
he looks like SID JAMES
He is a great actor, tough looking and cool, will grow into the role
He looks like a night club bouncer in his tuxedo! Too rough and ready.
He looks fantastic naked- great scene writing!
Lacks classic smoothness of Sean Connery, but has animal magnetism of his own
Mmmmmmmmm
was superb in the role
His 007 character is more true to how Bond would be - gritty and tough.
He is an excellent actor with charisma by the bucketful.
Still to prove he can do it over and over again
hes a great actor
Could end up being better than Connery
He is not as bad as I was afraid of. He is different, but quite good.
he looks more like a villain than a james bond
He plays a good Bond, however he pouts alot
at first i thought no one could match up to pierce brosnan. but having seen the film, it needed a younger bond, and he really is very good. perhaps he may be the best yet once he has settled into the part.
"he is the best in recent years
"
I hope he does many more Bond films.
He left me both shaken and stirred! ;)
Performance wise Craig was good ... very good, even. His appearance leaves something to be desired, though ... I wish he would at least die his hair
Craig has the toughness, the cool, and the acting chops necessary to pull off 007. At last we have a Bond who isn't an unmussed prettyboy.
I like his style of playing Bond more than any other actor.
He did the torture scene incredibly well, perfect mix of good acting and humour!
He's a great Bond, but I think people go too far in saying he is the best Bond since Sean Connery.
He doesn't fit the character, but he acts well.
He was an unconventional choice, but brings a much-needed gravitas to the role, and has revitalized the franchise for a new century. I'm sure they'll return to the Classic Formula in time, but I'm equally sure that Casino Royale will be regarded as a classic when viewed through the rear-view mirror of history.
The worst Bond ever! A generic action hero who looks NOTHING like a James Bond.
Craig has no screen presence. He basically kept the same expression thoroughout the film. He also looks like Vladimir Putin, which I found distracting.
he is one FINE MAN! great actor...love him!
Totally, absolutely brilliant.
DC was just was the series needed.
Daniel is not a Bond he has no style or class and plays Bond as a army psycho thug it was like watching die hard or steven seagal the sooner he resigns or is sacked the better
He may overtake Connery as my favourite in another movie or two.
Connery is the choice because he was the first, but in a strange way, Craig will define the role for the next 5 actors that play the part
Craig's Bond needs to smoke and never allow the government to put another microchip in him ever again. Other than that, he's my 4th favorite 007 and a massive improvement over Brosnan's Bond.
Sony, MGM, and EON have produced an instant classic with this one.
He's smooth but not squeaky like broz
Daniel Craig, brought back the respect and the credibility after the silliness of the Pierce Brosnan era, which was basically Roger Moore part II. So, by Daniel Craig being true to Ian Fleming's Bond and being the most sucessfull Bond of all time, he saved the franchise.
Daniel Craig is the MAN!
He was a splendid choice. He's a fantastic actor.
"Despite being called the ""closest thing to Fleming's Bond"", he is actually the furthest from it and is really an entirely new character in the series. 007 stated out as the ""gentleman agent' in the book, not the classless, thug that Craig, a wonderful actor in his own right, portrays in the film. It seems most critics and viewers have neve read the Fleming novels and do not realize that Bond was a pretty soft romantic hero; which is why he has survived for all these decades. This ignorance on their part is certainly displayed in many of their reviews.zurück zur Frage

Craig will finish his contracted three films, and then we will see the return of the true cinematic James Bond (a la Connery, Lazenby, Brosnan) in the year 2012. His trilogy will certainly be unique in the canon, though."
I like the way How Craig/Bond see the life
his interpretation of James Bond is unlike anything I have ever seen. I am reminded of Sean Connery while watching his performance. Even more edgy and dark. I enjoyed the fact that it was different, and there was no Q or Moneypenny. It was fresh.
Did a tremendous job. Can't wait to see the next installment. May well become my favourite.
He is now the best Bond
