ESC 2009: The show must go on!

[Survey] On the 16th May all eyes will be on Moscow when the Eurovision Song Contest will take place for the 54st time. The political changes that occurred in Europe in the past decades have also influenced the contest. Whereas only seven nations took part in the first contest in 1956, 42 nations will take part in this year’s contest.

In order to cope with the increased numbers of participants several changes have been carried out in the past few years. The Eurovision Song Contest 2009 is no exception in this respect, so that for the first time besides the usual telephone voting, all participating countries will have specialised juries. But are these changes also favoured by the fans? Or will this ruin the spirit of the contest? And what exactly do fans like about the contest?
